In this post I will attempt to dissect the sales process for CPA tsunami because I think some of the things Mike does in his pre-launch videos are really smart. Yes, they are rather manipulative, but that is really the nature of marketing. If his product truly is amazing we will probably all forgive him (look out for my review).

So, if you’re looking to buy cpa tsunami, read reviews of cpa tsunami or get a bonus - this is not the post for you.

But you might just learn something.

In the first video we see Mike driving his car in a scenic area. We already know that videos of guys giving advice while driving for some reason works really well, don’t we.

Didn’t that chunky surfer dude do something similar quite recently with great success?

Anyway, just as Mike starts talking, the guy holding the camera waves at something. Mike waves too, and asks “what are you waving at?”

I’m quite sure this little incident was staged. Humor is very disarming and makes us like people. And especially since Mike Hill is new to the marketing guru scene, that would a good way to go about building instant rapport with the viewers of the video.

Pay attention around 9:15 in the video. First he starts to talk about how fake blogs are sending traffic, and distances himself from such practices. It makes him come across as a genuine guy. And of course, we are more likely to buy from a genuine guy. But notice how he immediately after that starts talking in a lower voice, almost murmuring, as if he’s saying something to himself. I found myself being forced to pay closer attention to clearly hear what he is saying. It’s almost quite hypnotic. I believe he does this on purpose. He knows exactly what he is doing here. And furthermore it’s just around the end of the squeeze page video, where you are supposed to sign up for the next video.

The squeeze page has a unique value proposition (of sorts):

Never write another long copy sales letter again!

I like that. Because reading long copy sales letters suck. It suck more than anything has ever sucked in the whole history of things that suck.

And it also makes it seem easier and more do-able for a prospective buyer of CPA tsunami. And that’s good. Because writing long copy sales letters suck. It sucks more than a…

Oh well, you get the idea :)

The rest of the video is pretty standard stuff.

Ok, I’ve watched the launch videos for CPA tsunami.

They will teach you a lot about marketing. Not just because of the information you get - it’s how he SELLS CPA tsunami that’s also quite interesting. It’s actually very, very sneaky. And that’s not a bad thing. If he knows how to sell, his product might actually be good. Look out for my review. You should also check out my dissection of the CPA tsunami sales process

It all starts out with a video on the main squeeze page. Rock & Roll, supercars, and fast-paced action (as if there was such a thing as slow-paced action).

How can any (man) not like that?

The promises made:

1) CPA Networks will send you floods of visitors and orders
2) No long sales copy required

The verdict:

1) CPA networks can absolutely can drive this kind of volume to a business - that is absolutely true.

However, there are some things to keep in mind:

CPA networks have lots of leverage (especially the larger ones) because they actually can send 1000s of orders to a business at the push of a button (almost). This means that CPA networks are GREEDY (I know it is a very general assumption). This means they will want a large share of your front end product sales.

This means you need to know how to plug in a powerful backend that will increase the lifetime value of the customers you get from CPA networks. Mike Hill also talks about this in the videos on the next page on his site (when you sign up on the main page).

So it should be interesting to see what he’s going to bring to the table here.

Finally, I should mention…

Conversion - the holy grail of marketing - is, if possibly, even more important when it comes to promoting offers through CPA networks. I look forward to seeing how Mike tackles this particular aspect in the CPA Tsunami course.

2)

Typically CPA offers don’t use long copy. You’ve seen offers for quick weight loss patches and stuff like that. Typically it is a headline + benefits, a video, strong social proof testimonials (as seen on USA Today) and a quick sign up form. It is not complicated products. It is often general interest products: Lose weight now.

He also talks a lot about his concept called value trojans, and the importance of creating products that are valuable to the end user, the customer. Personally, I must admit that I tend to associate CPA networks with crappy products (of course they do also promote quality products). So, I’m quite curious to know more about how Mike Hill creates quality products, that are also good candidates for CPA network traffic.

I will keep you posted.

Hello!

On this blog you can read the collective wisdom of my more than 8 years experience with Internet marketing. The grand total of archived posts is now:

ZERO!

First off, I’d like to congratulate myself for owning this blog for 2 years and not managing even to squeeze a single post in here. Well done!

Ok, to be honest I had hoped that I’d post regularly, but my real business ventures have been distracting me.

Anyway, I have an idea to get started now finally after a video I just saw about an upcoming product launch for a product called CPA Tsunami. I’ll keep my non-existing readers posted!

Thank you
Martin
